A Night for the Foodies
My friend PartyPeter read on Twitter that the Creme Brulee guy was having a One year anniversary party with several other SF food carts including the Evil Jerk Chicken cart, Lumpia cart, AdoboHobo, Chile Lindo empanadas, and the Magic Curry Cart so we took a trip to the city to check out what all the hype was about. Before we went to the street food party, we stopped by Golden Island Cafe for some peanut butter and condensed milk toast, but they have peanut butter french toast too so we had to get it! I’m still thinking about that french toast right now! So friggin goooood!
Pretty fun night filled with lots of eating and picture taking at the street food party. Highlights of the night were the Cheese & jalapeno empanada, beef “piso” empanada, sisig tacos, and the frosted flakes creme brulee! We had s’mores and coffee creme brulee too! Makes me wanna start a cart of my own! Hope the SF city council will finally make it legal for food carts to provide foodie goodness on the streets of SF!

#66 Trader Joe’s Mango on Sticky Rice (via JoeFoodie)
On the recommendation of my friend @wattyz, I’ve been on the lookout for this traditional Thai dessert. It just so happened that Trader Joe’s started carrying it in the frozen section this week.
A tremendously interesting dessert - sweet tropical mango, salty & creamy sticky rice with coconut milk, and crunchy (pretty much flavorless) mung beans all come together perfectly. A special treat indeed & one that I’ll be revisiting very soon.
I need to find this!!!!
Supe cute farm animal cupcakes via Jessica’s Guernsey. I think the sheep are my favorite!
I <3 the HEO!

Probably one of my favorite Korean movies! Mostly because of Daniel Henney ;) <333333
Vietnamese Rice Noodles with pork roll, shrimp cakes, and cured pork from Irving Cafe and Deli in the Sunset. Sooooo yummmy! Decided last Saturday to grab some lunch and head to Ocean beach to watch the crazy waves caused from the earthquake in Chile.
these make me wanna go back to red glasses…. time for a change? might be good to switch between two pairs instead of my purple chanels all the time!
Ushers back! Heard it on KMEL the other day and its been stuck stuck stuck in my head ever since. It has that beat that makes you wanna bob your head and definitely puts a smile on my face when I’m listening to it in the car. Daddy’s home… ;)
Went to Dinner at 3 Mien (Three Regions) with Lena. Never had BBH outside of my house but this place wasn’t that bad. I’ll have to try AN NAM (the best BBH according to most people). The Bo Nee wasn’t that bad either. It’s the signature dish of the restaurant. They don’t have a big variety of items on their menu, but it’s close by and family owned so I’d recommend. =) I’ll come back for the Banh xeo and some vietnamese sandwiches soon.
