Christian Louboutin featured on Oprah
Pet peeve #100000, but this should REALLY be in my top 5. For anyone who knows how to speak French, you can disregard this message. For everyone else, take note and please learn from this. Just in case you ever meet the honourable Mr. L himself, you will not make a fool out of yourself. Okay so you know those popular red soled shoes that are seen pretty much everywhere and does wonders for every single woman out there in all shapes and sizes? Well, I’d just like to educate you all on how to say the name properly. I find that 9.9 out of 10 people say the name as they would say Louis Vuitton. I guess it looks like it should be pronounced the same since they’re both french and all right? WRONG! Louis VuiTTON is pronounced Loo-ee Vee-tohn. Since Louboutin has TIN at the end, it should really be pronounced as Loo-boo-teng (with a shortened ‘g’ sound). If this was too confusing for you. You can learn from Mr. Louboutin himself in this video at exactly 0:51 sec (note: Oprah still says it wrong). Please, everyone, if you’re going to be dressing like a Parisienne glamour girl, you should might as well make an effort to sound like one.
Ahhhh one day I will have a pair….and then i’ll display it on my shelf like an art masterpiece!
